07/19/2023Description The Gloucester County Registrar's office seeks an experienced, detail-oriented professional to be a part of a dynamic team to assist with daily operations and activities.
Part-Time:

24 hours a week.
Under general supervision, performs precise, detailed records management and technical work assisting the General Registrar and Director of Elections in voter registration and election activities.
Employee must exercise independent judgment, initiative, and attention to detail in completing all responsibilities.
Employee must also demonstrate considerable knowledge, tact and courtesy in frequent interactions with citizens, state and local officials, and staff members.
Reports to the General Registrar and Director of Elections.
Job Highlights Answers phone; greets visitors and responds to inquiries.
Processes voter registration applications.
Performs research to ensure voters are registered.
Performs routine clerical duties such as data entry, filing, copying, scanning, etc.
Reviews, maintains and updates voter registration records.
Prepares ballot sets; accepts and reviews absentee ballot applications.
Assists the General Registrar and Director of Elections and Electoral Board in training Officers of Elections.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Deputy Registrar Qualifications Possession of a high school diploma/GED required.
Special Requirements Must be a qualified voter in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
