Responsibilities:
As the Site Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs and protocols across all our solar energy projects.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring a safe and accident-free work environment for all personnel involved in our operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Safety Program Development:
Develop and maintain robust safety policies, procedures, and protocols in line with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential hazards and conduct thorough risk assessments on-site to prevent incidents and accidents proactively.
Training and Education:
Organize and conduct safety training sessions for staff and contractors to promote a strong safety culture and awareness.
Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor compliance with safety regulations and internal policies, and address any non-compliance issues promptly.
Incident Investigation:
Investigate accidents, near-misses, and other safety-related incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Safety Inspections:
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Emergency Response Planning:
Develop and oversee emergency response plans to handle potential crisis situations effectively.
Safety Communication:
Facilitate effective communication on safety matters between management, workers, and contractors.
Qualifications and
Experience:
To be considered for the Site Safety Manager position, you must possess the following qualifications and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or OSHA 500 or OHST Certification Safety
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in safety management, preferably within the renewable energy or construction industry.
Certifications:
Professional certifications such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) or NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) will be an advantage.
Knowledge:
Solid understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and emergency response planning.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate safety protocols and procedures.
