Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Virginia is currently seeking a labor pool (as needed) Pharmacy Tech.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program (Required) Pharmacy Technician licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professions (Required) National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) (Required within 8 months of hire) The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing technical support of pharmacy services including but not limited to distributing pharmaceuticals performing inventory control completing compliance audits and financial transactions providing customer service and maintaining pharmacy records.
Performs pharmacy-related duties in compliance with department policies and procedures and state/federal law and regulation.
Arranges sequence and timing of work to meet normal and viable work requirements.
The Pharmacy Technician works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy/Pharmacy Manager or their designee.
Available to work all shifts.
